May we give you three good reasons why the Bible is the Word of God, and as such deserves your interest and attention?<\/span><\/p>\n

FIRST<\/strong>, because in it God makes predictions, which always come to pass.\u00a0 Only God can foretell the future accurately.\u00a0 Many of His predictions relate to the coming of the Lord Jesus, His Only begotten Son.\u00a0 The nation, tribe and family He would be born into; the place and unique manner of His birth; the holy and gracious character of His life; that He would be despised and rejected of men, these were all foretold centuries beforehand.\u00a0 Furthermore the prophets spoke of His betrayal, trial, and death by crucifixion, and also gave the reason for His death, for “He was wounded for our transgressions”,<\/strong> <\/span>Isaiah 53:5.\u00a0 They went further, and prophesied of His resurrection and ascension as well.\u00a0 None of these things could have happened by chance; but happen they did, and their precise fulfillment is convincing proof that the Bible is the Word of God.\u00a0 You will find some of these passages at the end of the page.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SECOND<\/strong> good reason for believing the Bible to be the Word of God is the effect it has on those who read it honestly and without bias.\u00a0 The scriptures tell us frankly about our sin, and that “God\u2026now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:\u00a0beause He hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He hath ordained; whereof He hath given assurance unto all men, in that He hath raised Him from the dead,” <\/strong><\/span>Acts 17:30,31.\u00a0 When the Bible brings such truths to our attention, those who earnestly desire to be in a right relationship with God will find that they come under deep conviction of sin, as the Holy Spirit applies the truth to their hearts.\u00a0 No other book can produce such an effect.<\/span><\/p>\n

The THIRD<\/strong> reason is connected with the second.\u00a0 When conviction of sin is known, the proper response should be confession of sin to God, and unreserved faith in the Lord Jesus, the one who died as a sacrifice for sins.\u00a0 When this important step is taken, a wonderful thing happens, for the Bible says that “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>2 Corinthians 5:17.\u00a0 The old things of self and sin are done away, and a new relationship with God is begun.\u00a0 Only the truth of the Bible can bring about this great change of heart, life, and destiny, and we would ask you to seriously take account of what it says.<\/span><\/p>\n

SOME OF THE PROPHECIES FULFILLED IN CHRIST:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

1. The nation into which He would be born:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecy:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 “There shall come a star out of Jacob, and a sceptre shall rise out of Israel”.<\/strong><\/span> Numbers 24:17. (The ancients ascribed a part of the sky to each nation).<\/strong>Fulfilment:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him'”. <\/strong><\/span>Matthew 2:1,2.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Who are Israelites\u2026whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever”. <\/strong><\/span>Romans 9:4,5.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. The tribe of that nation into which He would come:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

“And Jesus Himself began to be about thirty years of age, being, (as was supposed) the son of Joseph\u2026which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda”. <\/strong><\/span>Luke 3:23,33.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda”. <\/strong><\/span>Hebrews 7:14.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Weep not: behold the lion of the tribe of Juda, the root of David, hath prevailed”. <\/strong><\/span>Revelation 5:5.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a03. The family of which He would come:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecy:<\/span>
\n“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots, and the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him\u2026”<\/strong> <\/span>Isaiah 11:1.\u00a0 (Jesse was David’s father).<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“And Jesse begat David the king\u2026and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, which is called Christ”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 1:6,16.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His father David”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Luke 1:32.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“David to be their king\u2026of this man’s seed hath God according to His promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Acts 13:22,23.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“The gospel of God\u2026concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Romans 1:1,3.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. The town in which He would be born.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecy:<\/span>
\n“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be ruler in Israel”.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> Micah 5:2.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfillment:<\/span>
\n“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men\u00a0 from the east to Jerusalem”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 2:1.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife\u2026and so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.\u00a0 And she brought forth her firstborn son”.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Luke 2:4-7.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. The nature of His conception.
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecies:<\/span>
\n“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Genesis 3:15.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 7:14.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfillment:<\/span>
\n“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit”.<\/strong> <\/span>Matthew 1:18.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, ‘Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 1:22,23.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. His rejection by His own people.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecies:<\/span>
\n“To Him whom man despiseth, to Him whom the nation abhorreth”.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Isaiah 49:7.<\/span><\/p>\n

“And when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.\u00a0 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:2,3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfillment:<\/span>
\n“He came unto His own, and His own received Him not”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>John 1:11.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> “And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up\u2026and all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up, and thrust Him out of the city, and led Him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast Him down headlong.\u00a0 But He passing through the midst of them went His way”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Luke 4:16, 28-30.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay Him, because He had done these things on the sabbath day”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>John 5:16.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“But they cried out, ‘Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>John 19:15.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. His rejection by<\/strong> His own family:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecy:<\/span>
\n“I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children”.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Psalm 69:8.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“And when His friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on Him: for they said, ‘He is beside Himself'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 Ma<\/span><\/span>rk 3:21.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For neither did His brethren believe in Him”.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 John 7:5.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. His works of power and mercy.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecies:<\/span>
\n“Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped.\u00a0 Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 35:5,6.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:4.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“And Jesus went\u00a0 about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people”.<\/strong> <\/span>Matthew 4:23.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see: the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 11:4-6.<\/span><\/p>\n

9. His sinlessness.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecies:<\/span>
\n“Who is blind, but my servant?\u00a0 Or deaf, as my messenger that I sent?\u00a0 Who is blind as He that is perfect, and blind as the Lord’s servant?\u00a0 Seeing many things, but Thou observest not; opening the ears, but He heareth not.\u00a0 The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake;\u00a0 He will magnify the law, and make it honourable”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 42:19-21.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:9.<\/span><\/p>\n

“By His knowledge shall My righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:11.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfillment:<\/span>
\n“Again, the devil taketh Him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto Him, ‘All these things will I give Thee, if Thou wilt fall down and worship me’.\u00a0 Then saith Jesus unto him, ‘Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve'”.<\/strong> <\/span>Matthew 4:8-10.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Hebrews 4:15.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth: who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>1 Peter 2:21-23.<\/span><\/p>\n

10.\u00a0\u00a0 His betrayal by a friend.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecies:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>“Yea, Mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of My bread, hath lifted up his heel against Me”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 41:9.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For it was not an enemy that reproached Me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated Me that did magnify himself against Me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, My guide and Mine acquaintance.\u00a0 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 55:12-14.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“And while He yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.\u00a0 Now he that betrayed Him gave them a sign, saying, ‘Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is He: hold Him fast’.\u00a0 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, ‘Hail, Master;’ and kissed Him.\u00a0 And Jesus said unto him, ‘Friend, wherefore art thou come’?\u00a0 Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took Him”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 26:47-50.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He that eateth bread with Me, hath lifted up his heel against Me”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>John 13:18.<\/span><\/p>\n

11. The price paid for His betrayal.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecy:<\/span>
\n“And I said unto them, ‘If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear’.\u00a0 So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.\u00a0 And the Lord said unto me, ‘Cast it to the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Zechariah 11:12,13.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, and said unto them, ‘What will ye give me, and I will deliver Him unto you?’\u00a0 And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 26:14,15.<\/span><\/p>\n

12. His trial by the authorities.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Prophecies:<\/span>
\n“They that sit in the gate speak against me”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 69:12.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth.\u00a0 He was taken from prison and from judgement:\u00a0 and who shall declare His generation”?<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:7,8.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put Him to death\u2026and the high priest arose, and said unto Him, ‘Answerest Thou nothing? What is it which these witness against Thee?’\u00a0 But Jesus held His peace”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 26:59,62,63.<\/span><\/p>\n

“When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put Him to death:”<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 27:1.<\/span><\/p>\n

13. His crucifixion.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The prophecy:<\/span>

“Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Acts 2:22,23.<\/span><\/p>\n

15.\u00a0\u00a0 His giving up of His own life.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The prophecy:<\/span>
\n“Into Thy hand I commit My spirit: Thou hast redeemed Me, O Lord God of truth”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 31:5.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:12.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fulfillment:<\/span>
\n“For even the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Mark 10:45.<\/span><\/p>\n

“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, ‘Father into Thy hands I commend My spirit:’\u00a0 and having said thus, He gave up the ghost”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Luke 23:46.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I may take it again.\u00a0 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of Myself.\u00a0 I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.\u00a0 This commandment have I received of My Father”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>John 10:17,18.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Then said Pilate unto Him, ‘Speakest thou not unto me? Knowest Thou not that I have power to crucify Thee, and have power to release Thee?’\u00a0 Jesus answered, ‘Thou couldest have no power at all against Me, except it were given thee from above:\u00a0 therefore he that delivered Me unto thee hath the greater sin'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>John 19:10,11.<\/span><\/p>\n

16.\u00a0\u00a0 His burial.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The prophecy:<\/span>
\n“And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Isaiah 53:9.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple: he went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.\u00a0 Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.\u00a0 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Matthew 27:57-60.<\/span><\/p>\n

17.\u00a0\u00a0 His resurrection from the dead.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The prophecies:<\/span>
\n“My flesh also shall rest in hope.\u00a0 For Thou wilt not leave My soul in hell; neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.\u00a0 Thou wilt show Me the path of life”.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Psalm 16:10.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He asked life of Thee, and Thou gavest it Him, even length of days for ever and ever”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 21:4.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath He hid His face from Him; But when He cried unto Him, He heard”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 22:24.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand”.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Isaiah 53:10.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fulfilment:<\/span>
\n“Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils”.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>Mark 16:9.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible for Him to be holden of it\u2026Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.\u00a0 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; he seeing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in hell, neither His flesh did see corruption”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Acts 2:24, 29-31.<\/span><\/p>\n

18.\u00a0\u00a0 His ascension to God’s right hand.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The prophecy:<\/span>
\n“The Lord said unto My Lord, ‘Sit Thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Psalm 110:1.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fulfillment:<\/span>
\n“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Mark 16:19.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, ‘The Lord said unto My Lord, sit Thou on My right hand, until I make Thy foes Thy footstool'”.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Acts 2:34,35.<\/span><\/p>\n
